An Abstract Series with a Sense of Place

As Bobby has often stated, most great breakthroughs as an artist are the result of a timely accident, and after a fortunate mishap with an accidental double exposure in Colmar, France in 2015 that would go on to become one of his personal favorite pieces, Deux Lieux, Bobby began to think intentionally with regards to multiple exposures on the same sheet of film. This process led to his masterpiece Transcendent before taking the idea back to one of the most iconic cities in Europe in the summer of 2022 with the creation of Windows of Venice and Signs Everywhere.

“Sometimes when you are in a beautiful place, it’s very difficult to choose which locations to focus on (no pun intended). So I just decided to photograph as many as I could and do it all on a single sheet of film, each with its own theme. The result is a collection of modern art in which each piece contains a glimpse of the entire city.
