Roughly halfway through (and a short scramble off of) the 5.2-mile Kraft Mountain Loop Trail lies one of the most beautiful faces of rock in all of Red Rock Canyon.

A notoriously difficult climb with a gnarly landing on jagged talus, this 20 foot boulder is as striking visually as it is physically for the elite few strong enough to climb it. Here in the low light of January, the long shadows of winter highlight the dramatic texture of the sandstone face. Named after the iconic V8 (Very Difficult Grade) Boulder Problem, The Abstraction aptly describes one of the great natural works of art found in our Las Vegas backyard. Live Inspired.
