Bobby’s Recommended Presentation | Museum Mount (Floating) Presentation or Our Gallery Modern (Slim 3/8”W Black Frame) both suit this image beautifully.
The land and seascapes of Bobby’s early work were predominantly celebrations of the beauty found in the natural world with a heavy reliance on ambiance and scenes of sweeping grandeur. However as Bobby’s work began to evolve, even his landscapes began to take on a more modern and minimal aesthetic, often with underlying narratives that presented themselves in the natural world as a representation of his own journey. Bobby learned very early in his career as a self-published artist that nothing worth doing comes easily. And that the greatest version of ourselves begins when we learn to embrace adversity and use it as an asset.
While his personal favorite work Horizon represents the power in a dream, Genesis embodies the journey necessary to realize that dream. Here at the edge of the Pacific chaotic surf forms a barrier between the viewer and the horizon powerfully yet subtly telling an age-old story of triumph through struggle. Only after pushing beyond our break point can we truly reflect the light of the sun. It is most often the things in life that tend first tobreak us that truly make us shine.
