Sage
Sage
Edition of 11
Bobby’s Recommended Presentation | Gallery Modern (Slim 3/8”W Black Frame) Presentation or Our Museum Mount (Floating) Presentation both suit this image perfectly.
High atop the White Mountains overlooking the Sierra Nevada to the west and Death Valley to the east, these Bristlecone Pines are believed to be the oldest living organisms on earth. At an elevation near 11,000 feet rooted in Dolomite Limestone, they have found an improbable home thriving against all odds in one of the harshest climates on earth. Photographed on film and printed as a negative, Sage is a modern interpretation of an ancient subject matter, and in these modern times, we would serve ourselves well to learn from their perseverance despite adversity, the wisdom in their silence, and the strength of their roots.
